By-Law No. 3331-15 - Tariff of fees for the processing of applications made in respect of planning matters

Every person who makes application to Council in respect of the following planning matters shall pay, upon submission of the application, the following fee:
Consent Application $150.00
Deeming By-Law Application* $250.00
Minor Variance Application $500.00
Official Plan Amendment Application $800.00
Zoning By-Law Amendment Application $500.00

* A Deeming By-Law applicant shall, in addition to the application fee, be solely responsible for any additional legal fees related to the consolidation of lots and the registration of the Deeming By-Law on title.

Building Services

Building Applications must be submitted to the Building Department for processing.  Application form, along with constuctions plans and site survey must be attached.  Fees must be paid at Town Hall in order to start the application.

What is a Consent to Sever?

A consent to sever/land severance is the authorized separation of a portion of land to form a new lot or parcel of land. This occurs by way of an approval known as a consent. A consent is required if you want to sell, mortgage, charge or enter into any agreement for more than 21 years for a portion of your land.

What is the Zoning By-Law?

A zoning by-law controls the use of land in a community. It states exactly how the land may be used, where buildings and other structures may be located, the types of buildings that are permitted and their uses, as well as the lot sizes and dimensions, parking requirements, building heights, and setbacks from the street.
